Transforming Cleveland’s East Side
WRJ Construction Team LLC, founded by Jermaine Brooks, Willie Levy, Richard Singleton, and Jamion Berry, has acquired the 115-year-old Abel Apartment Building at 7049 Superior Ave. in Cleveland’s St. Clair-Superior neighborhood. This historic 36-unit property was purchased from Black Hole Holdings Inc. for approximately $400,000, marking a significant step in WRJ’s mission to revitalize Cleveland’s East Side.
A Vision for the Future
Our newly acquired 38,000-square-foot multifamily mid-rise includes four retail spaces and has a rich history of ownership, including being held by the Famicos Foundation in the late 1990s. With a current county valuation of $160,000, we have secured a $750,000 mortgage with JAG Enterprises LLC to fund the building's transformation.
Innovative Projects
This acquisition is part of WRJ’s broader strategy to bring multifamily housing and innovative developments to the area. Just blocks north, we are planning the ArkiTainer project, a 64-unit apartment complex made from former shipping containers on East 72nd Street. Additionally, we are working on a townhome development on East 72nd Street and a mixed-use project called The New Hough Paradigm.
Our Commitment
At WRJ Construction, we are dedicated to revitalizing Cleveland’s neighborhoods and transforming blighted properties into thriving communities. This latest acquisition represents our ongoing commitment to innovation and community development.
